“It was nice to win…It was important for my confidence going into the World Championships. It showed that everything is possible in biathlon.”
“I was in very bad shape in the summer after some injuries. But I was motivated to get back. I love my sport and will not give up.”
“For sure, I know Martin is very fast. So I went fast on the first on the first uphill and he did not catch me so I relaxed a bit.”
Martin Fourcade - FRA

“Surely he was on my mind but also many others in the field. I am proud to be second today to the King of Biathlon.”
“Emil and I are both tired; this was the last shooting stage before the World Championships and I think there was a lot of pressure and we were not so good. But it worked out for me.”
Dmitry Malyshko - RUS

“I was the only one on our team that had not made the podium; I wanted to do it before the World Championships. I have been close a couple of other time, so I am happy to be up here.”
