IBU Biathlon World Cup 2012 - Men's 15 km Mass Start

     Neste domingo aconteceu mais uma etapa do IBU Biathlon World Cup 2012 - Men's 15 km Mass Start  em Oslo, Noruega. A prova hoje foi bastante interessante, com várias mudanças na primeira colocação. Emil Hegle Svendsen da Noruega ficou atrás boa parte da prova, mas no momento final quando só tinha Andreas Birnbacher na sua frente pulou para primeira posição. Evgeny Garanichev mostrou que estava em uma ótima semana em Oslo e mais uma vez estava no pódio.

     Assim, Emil Hegle Svendsen da Noruega ficou com o 1° lugar, Andreas Birnbacher da Alemanha ficou com o 2° lugar e Evgeny Garanichev da Rússia ficou com o 3° lugar.

“I had to work hard to get back up to the front after the penalty in the first standing. So it was good to go our behind Andi on the last loop and save some energy. I passed a little bit earlier than yesterday and it worked out pretty good.”

“I wanted to give all of the Norwegian fans who came out here on a very cold weekend something special. It all worked out well…I have not won as many times as in some other years, so it was good to have this one.”

“I have been sick the past couple of days and was considering not starting. But the doctor said it was okay and I am glad I did. I knew I had to shoot well but realized that I could not outsprint Emil. So I went as hard as I could so no one could come up from the back and take my spot on the podium.”
