No dia 13 de Março durante o IBU Biathlon World Championships ocorreu Women's 4x6 km Relay em Khanty-Mansiysk, Rússia. A Alemanha com Andrea Henkl, Miriam Gossner, Tina Bachmann, Magdalena Neuner ficou com a medalha de ouro. A Ucrânia com Valj Semerenko, Vita Semerenko, Olena Pidhrushna, Oksana Khvostenko ficou com a medalha de prata e a França com Anais Bescond, Marie Laure Brunet, Sophie Boilley, Marie Dorin ficou com a medalha de bronze.
Magdalena Neuner fez simplesmente uma impressionante prova, levando a Alemanha do 4° lugar para a 1° colocação.

Neuner: . “At first I did not think about the Gold medal. I thought, ‘okay it is a Silver medal.’ Then the Ukraine was just before me and I knew it was not very far to get the Gold medal. I had very good skis and on the downhill I came nearer and then I knew I could get the Gold medal. It was a great feeling.”
