I went hard from the start today and never slowed down. My only goal was to win…I was a bit stronger than Bjorn on the last uphill and that was the only difference.
This was more than I expected in my life. It is wonderful I know that my performance in the World Championships is a very big thing; not many sportsmen will ever do this… It was wonderful to compete in front of all of these fans this week. I think we will have to wait for another World Championships like this one.

I was surprised to be up there. I knew that in the shape that I am in this year, my only chance was to shoot clean and I did that. All season, if I missed just one shot, I was gone.
I never won Silver before, Now with my Olympic gold and WCH mixed relay Bronze, I have a whole set!

I did not know where I was on the final lap. I heard from the coaches that I was fifth and bronze was 2 meters ahead. In the last downhill, I put all I had and it was enough to get the bronze medal. I actually won a sprint!

IBU Biathlon World Championships 2012 - Men's Relay

Arnd Peiffer, Emil Hegle Svendsen, Martin Fourcade

Svendsen: I tried to stay really focused, even though there was lots of tension. I felt good on the shooting range and kept my nerves under control the whole time…I am really happy to catch the Gold for Norway.

Björndalen: I did not have a good feeling in the shooting range; a lot of movement and no control today.
Boe: The first loop tried to go hard; in the second I was a bit slower to get ready for the standing stage. I saved some energy for the attack on the last hill.

Jean Guilluame Beatrix: You cannot imagine the pressure before the start. I just tried to do it as good as I can best as I could on shooting range, but it was very hard because of all of the noise from the crowd. I am glad it was not so bad in the end.
Martin Fourcade: Emil and the Norwegian team were much stronger today. I am a bit disappointed with my shooting, but really happy with the Silver medal.
Boeuf: It is very nice to go home with any medal.
