As competições de Biathlon continuam em Oberhof, Alemanha. Neste dia 7 de Janeiro ocorreu Men's 10km sprint.

 Tarjei Boe

"Everyone asked me about the fog after the race today. I really did not notice it so much in standing, shooting on lane thirty. In prone, the targets were gray but I could see them. I took two breaths between each prone shot so my brain could concentrate better. It was a bit slower than normal but was a good tactic today.”
He still is not used to being on top of the podium or the World Cup standings. “For me it is still a new experience. For Emil and Ole, they are used to it. But I am beginning to like it. It is almost too good to be true.”

“I had one good week of hard training after Pokljuka. Then I had to take four days off because I was sick. But it was actually a good time as I had planned some days off, so I did not miss much actual training. It was a good time to be sick. Yet yesterday, when I did my first hard intervals since being sick, I felt awful.”

 Arnd Peiffer

"Things were not going very well before Christmas, but now they are as I have gotten past the question of qualifying for the World Championships.”

 Michal Slesingr

“I never expected to be on the podium twice this week. After the relay on Wednesday, I believed that I could have more good results. I wanted to make sure that I would be in the mass start on Sunday. But the top three was much more than I expected.”
“I never expected that it would be so long before I was on the podium again. I think every athlete wants to be on the podium as soon as he can get there again. I was not so lucky. I have had some medical problems and did not train like then. But after I got past that, changed coaches, and improved our wax team, I believed that I could be back here.”

As one of the few men to shoot clean today, Slesingr said he “did not have problems with the fog. I do not know what the other athletes had to deal with, but I probably had better conditions. Maybe though, I was a little bit lucky.”
